I have found out that when mail is delivered locally on our solaris mail
server (via the local delivery agent) and picked
up from a client (outlook), we lose the rich text formatting of the mail.
Unfortunately I am in a situation where the
users are requiring this rich text formatted mail.
Would replacing my standard mailer with procmail solve this problem or is it
caused by something else?
We use procmail on Linux, same problem. I think the problem
is in sendmail.cf - look in:
# strip message body to 7 bits on input?
O SevenBitInput=False
# 8-bit data handling
#O EightBitMode=pass8
I did not touch this lins because my users are briefed to send
rich text in attachmnt. (Yes, I am a bad sysadm) I'll happy
to here about the solution.
Bye,
Udi
Thanks
