Novice needs help setting up spam bouncer2002-05-10 01:22:23I have downloaded from www.spambouncer.org the sb-new.zip and extracted the procmail.rc file which I should customize. However, I don't know how my local variables translate to the "local configuration" data needed in this file, i.e. not sure what the $(HOME) etc. variables resolve to or how I should change this to work on my shell account for my 3 POP IDs. I entered "procmail -v" and got this:
procmail v3.21 2001/06/29

Can anyone tell me how to setup a procmail.rc to work with SPAMBOUNCER to kill the spam for my 3 POP accounts on my linux shell server? The SPAM is killing me. The instructions for installing it on a shell account assume more than my level of knowledge, but I believe I can figure it out if I get the procmail.rc file set up. I have tried to contact the author for help but have not received any response.
P.S. I can move around, create and move files on the shell but that is about the extent of my knowledge - FTP and std. file/directory commands.
Thanks!
