So I suspect that some sort of processing is occurring, and that my
procmail filter never really 'sees' the 'euc-kr' string, because of some

get procmail to ignore control characters so that it 'sees' the euc-kr
that is obviously there?
I've now implemented 'the final solution' & added a HEAP of ipfw rules

Needless to say, over 90% of my spam is stopped by a generic listing of
all Asia-Pacific and European IP's. The problem therefore occurs on the
'sneakier' spammers who raid a North American provider to send their spew.

But the problem remains. If spammers have a 'trick' to mask a character
string that I can SEE in the subject line or from line, so that procmail
can't 'see' it, I need to recognize and stop that. Any ideas?

laced all websites under my control with liberal doses of sugarplum &
Wpoison, so that if perchance any spambots find their way to the sites they
will get a wee bit more than they expected :) :) :)

Must..... investigate...... (evil grin) Thanks.
