A traditional sendmail.cf contains usually something like:
Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL,
T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u
This is the standard procmail hook. I have a problem on a system that
doesn't have this hook:
I am working on a system that uses virge, an excellent virus scanner
(see http://vanja.com/tools/virge/).
The relevant lines in sendmail.cf looks like:
#Mlocal, P=/usr/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
#S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL,
# T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
# A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u
MLocal, P=/usr/bin/virge, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
S=EnvFromL/HdrFromL, R=EnvToL/HdrToL,
T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
A=virge -s $f -a $h -d $u
As you can see the procmail hook as been commented out. I want to turn
it back on!
Question:
- If I uncomment it, will it work? Does sendmail allows the "chaining"
of Mlocal?
Thanks for any hints.
Emmanuel
