Hello!
This is driving me nuts.
For years I had a sendmail + procmail system working fine. However
yesterday I decided to install SuSE 8.1 on a new system; they use
Postfix + procmail.
My disk partitions are all xfs (v.1.1).
Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, procmail does work properly.
It gets invoked by Postfix, yes, but I logs something like:
From ainfante(_at_)xxxx(_dot_)xxxx Sat Jan 11 15:06:09 2003
Subject: [SLE]_test
Folder: /var/spool/mail/ainfante
1165
procmail: Error while writing to "/home/ainfante/Mail/SuSE Linux
English"
procmail: Truncated file to former size
procmail: Error while writing to "/home/ainfante/mbox"
procmail: Truncated file to former size
My first thought was permissions, but /home/ainfante is owned by
ainfante, drwxr-xr-x, and mbox, for example, is owned by ainfante too,
-rw------- I also thought about locks, so I recompiled procmail from the
source, doing all the locks testing. I also tried manually changing
config.h to narrow down to specific lock mechanisms, but the same keeps
happening. I simply had to disable fetchmail, it was doing nothing.
Any ideas on what to check?
Best regards,
Afonso Infante.
