You say these are mbox files, so the corruption could simply be due to
the fact that you're not using lockfiles (except on your spam mailbox!).
Does the problem go away if you use locks, e.g.
:0:
* ^To:(_dot_)*p4auto(_at_)digeo(_dot_)com
/home/akpm/.nsmail-zip/digeo/p4changes
with a second colon on the colon line of each delivering recipe?
No, that makes no difference.
That .procmailrc is about four years old, and worked fine until
I installed rh8.0. Seems to be new behaviour. I've tried the
latest versions of procmail and fetchmail - no changes.
The latest spamassassin failed due to missing perl libraries (as
usual). I'll take a closer look at that later.
