There seems to be a thing with users of virtual pop daemons reposting their
requests here on a daily (or more frequent) basis until someone responds,
as if stepping into a forum and incessantly repeating oneself will garner
you positive feedback.
I suggest that you read recent messages matching 'virtual' in the archives
(linked from the procmail homepage, if you haven't looked - right above the
FAQ links), and perhaps follow up with the chap who last inquired about it.
If delivery isn't via LDA, procmail will not be invoked unless you're
actually invoking it from whatever alias mechanism qmail happens to support
(equivalent to sendmail "prog mailer"), where you'd alias all users to
invoke a procmail wrapper script which would then check to see whether that
individual user has any delivery options, and default to delivering to your
vpopmail (also with which I am unfamiliar).
Keep in mind that your users probably don't have the slightest clue about
procmail scripts, so you'll have to write and debug them yourself and make
a script writer. There's one or two packages out there which offer this
sort of functionality, none of which I've used, but I'm given to understand
that they're targeted chiefly at regular LDA usage - so to adopt them, you
may have to do some hacking. Try reviewing the Procmail list archives for
information on those programs.
