Re: Trimming an extra header.

2003-03-29 06:21:35
OK, I guess I need to try again...

1.) Mail is delivered to my Groupwise account.

2.) I have Groupwise forward it to my *nix account

3.) Groupwise forwards the original message as an attachment... with
attachments. This is the source of the mail I receive

4.) I don't particularly care that the message was forwarded from
Groupwise, in fact it makes it difficult to reply to the message... so
I'd like to remove the forwarding headers...

I may need to remove other headers, but I don't think Groupwise does
anything else to the message.

I guess I'm clueless on everything about mail headers as well as
procmail and formail. It seems if I hand edit the message, my mail
readers can read it correctly.

I won't even get into what I thought I was doing, or how I was trying to
do it, as it seems I was so far off base.

I tried a formail recipe, but haven't found the flag to only remove the
first occurance of the header...

The server is running Solaris 5.8
