No, it is not 'badlands.svl.ibm.com' - but try and resolv that,
you'll fail. If I give you the IP (9.30.62.137), you still can't
connect to it (unless I connect to you first, and then there are
still limitations)
My home ISP provided mailing address isn't the same as my domain either
- which is nice because who could remember adsl-32-176-206.bgk.bellsouth.net?
and no its not static, but even if it was, that's the address form I'd
be stuck with... At least until I move to a place with more options.
This is a large, but not complex system that has some warts...
Due to a comedy of errors (not mine - I'm 2+k miles away), I managed to hit
almost all of them at the same time :( Overall, things work fairly well.
