The originator of UW-IMAP, Mark Crispin, is still there (at University
of Washington) and can be contacted for answers
M R C @CAC.Washington.EDU
He has helped me in the past......be forewarned that he knows his IMAP
inside and out and newbie criticisms of why doesn't it work this way may
net you a crisp answer detailing the things you didn't understand and
why they are so....
From his help, I had the delight of being able to gig IBM for the AIX
IMAP binary...which it turns out is built from an interim snapshot from
late '97, buggy, unconfigured and insecure. Duh, IBM....you shouldn't
be shipping out-of-date-junk
Better yet would be for them to ship current build....but it hasn't happend
