Re: Email Forward broke

Toen ik Professional Software Engineering kietelde, kwam er dit uit:
Ruud:

Something completely different:
Is the slash at the end of MAILDIR neccessary?
The name already says that it is a dir.

So?

You might be enlightened by reading the "Environment variable defaults"
in 'man procmailrc', and note exactly how the default value is
specified there.

I assume that there should never be a slash at the end of the value
of MAILDIR. I also think that it doesn't hurt if it is there,
unless you make use of the value assuming that there is one.

couldn't create or rename temp file. "/var/spool/mail/il -oi
blackberry(_at_)forward(_dot_)com"

It seems that it is taking the last part of the sendmail command, and
trying to deliver the message locally rather than forwarding. Any
Ideas?

Because of the c-flag you are forwarding a copy.
So at the end of the .procmailrc there is still
something left to deliver.

Put the bad ganja away there Ruud. AFTER the copy, when procmail goes
to deal with the default delivery you refer to, it ISN'T going to be
referring to the blackberry(_at_)forward(_dot_)com address, and at least
based on
what we've
been sent thus far, the default delivery shouldn't be invoking a
sendmail type command to deliver the message to the users spool.
Unless portions of the rcfile have not been shared, this error directly
bears upon the user forward operations.

I must have been reusing one of my buffers there.
