Mail filtering is done by 'Brightmail'.

Brightmail is a spam-identifying product; their site is
www.brightmail.com if you care to learn details. Apparently, whoever at
Adam's ISP thought that the hostname was the local delivery agent also
believes that spotting spam is the whole of mail filtering.
