I got this back from sending my message to dman(AT)nomotek.com
Ruud, I have no real control over that, and it bugs the hell
out of me. The sysadmin there uses blacklists and they
kill friends' mail sometimes. I am going to take my mail
SMTP elsewhere.
I was using a different server for mail, but a few months ago
that server went down for three days, and I went back to
the server where nomotek is actually hosted. But these
problems are just too ugly. I've told him over and over
that it's not okay to reject good mail, but he says there's
no way for him to kill spam without doing so.
I don't agree, but I don't have time to run his server for him.
He does give me a free account, but losing mail isn't worth it.
Anyway, I have various^H^H^H^H^Hmillions of other addresses, such as
at spamless.us, which is my domain. So try one of the others
if all esle fails.
My message was:
http://www.spamless.us/pub/procmail/virussnag.rc
WS = $SPACE$TAB # whitespace var
Does that work? I parse that as 'make WS an empty string'.
Yes, it does seem to work, unless I'm misreading my tests.
WS = "$SPACE$TAB" # whitespace var
Better syntax, however. I'll do that; thanks, Ruud.
