I'm really not sure the lockfile
covers foo, though, despite your having stated that
it would. But I'm not in the mood to test.
The lockfile covers foo if that's the only recipe that writes to foo.
Then again, what if the MUA deletes messages from foo? I guess both
lockfiles might be needed if foo is an mbox.
