Does anyone use procmail as their LDA with postfix? I can't find how

Well, my shell ISP (panix) uses postfix. And, certainly,
they have procmail. I can't tell you how to do it, though,
because I have no recent mailadmin experience anywhere.
I got it to work, sortof. You just edit main.cf and uncomment:
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail
That seemed way to easy and I was looking for someting more complicated like
what my sendmail .mc has for command line switches. I thought it was
postfix that was failing until I finally turned on verbose and got a
procmail error to go on.
The apparant problem is with procmail (on Redhat) can't create files in
/var/spool/mail. I did a "chmod 1777 /var/spool/mail" and that seems to
have fixed it but I don't like having a world writable mail directory.
Dunno the solution to that, over my head. Open for suggestions.
Thanks,
Scott
