} Well, my shell ISP (panix) uses postfix. And, certainly,
} they have procmail. I can't tell you how to do it, though,
} because I have no recent mailadmin experience anywhere.
I run postfix, mailman, and procmail on my own servers [OS X and Linux].
In postfix's main.cf, you need to have:
mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail -Y -a $DOMAIN
[make sure the patch to procmail is right]
Thanks, Vince. David is apparently right also, in re. panix.com and LDA
stuff. I didn't notice that part when I posted earlier in comparing
panix to the OP's situation.
Nevertheless, it seems to me that even running a .forward file qualifies
as being able to "use procmail as ... [one's] LDA with postfix," right?
Just not as the *default* one. :-)
