Professional Software Engineering:
Ruud H.G. van Tol:

If I was moderator of this list, I would
block messages with > 50 lines in the body.

some recipe discussions can easily exceed that size.

I know, I was just kicking a bucket for some noise.

Since the beginning of April, five of your own messages
would have been rejected based on a 50 line limit.

Such a limit would of course be announced beforehand. If
50 is too tight, try 51.

Perhaps a more workable solution for now would be to
simply ask that people don't post an excess of log content.

I hope that works. Many people, and I am certainly one of those,
don't always first count to 10 before posting.

I would normally make a log available via an URL, also because
copy-pasted log abstracts often lead to discussions about the
way the log was presented (and the information that is missing).

I much prefer a message with too much content than
a message with attachments though.

So do I.

Here's a solution for you Rudd:

The name is Ruud. Rudi and Rudolf are variants. I don't think
Rudd is related.

  procmail-bloat.mbx

Most of the bloat already passes by unnoticed, mainly because
the body doesn't start with plain text. If Ms. Konzack would
use that format for all of her messages, she would be non-
existent here, but for some reason she doesn't.
