Using or not using SA has no thing to do with intelligence. Several
contributors here on the procmail list get along fine without it.
Without intelligence or without SpamAssassin? (=
I personally prefer to use SpamAssassin in addition to
procmail, because spamassassin, being a perl script, isn't
exactly the hastiest, and procmail helps to eliminate some
of the garbage that might potentially go through the SA
filter, and potentially slow down mail delivery.
And since no system is fool-proof, the more checks and
balances one uses, IMHO, the better off they will be in
the long run.
