Re: Trouble with procmailrcs and aliases

2008-06-14 15:58:35

Finally, the /etc/procmailrcs/ directory should be world-readable but
writable only by root, and the files in it should NOT be writable by
anyone but the file owner. And obviously each file must be readable
by the user who owns it.

Well, I did indeed put them there with that intention, here is my current
configuration for that directory:

[root(_at_)myhost etc]# ls -la procmailrcs/
total 40
drwx---r-- 2 root root 4096 Jun 15 00:49 .
drwxr-xr-x 114 root root 12288 Jun 15 00:53 ..
-rw------- 1 processor postfix 650 Jun 14 23:06 processor.procmail

NOTE: I did find that when I changed the group to postfix it reduced my
error to:

The mail system

<processor(_at_)myhost>: can't create user output file. Command output:
procmail: Denying special privileges for
"/etc/procmailrcs/processor.procmail" procmail: Couldn't read
"/etc/procmailrcs/processor.procmail"

It seems though there is still a permissions problem... :s
