I didn't know that lockfiles are obsolete for Maildirs.
But AFAIK their are not forbidden, either. Creating the
Maildirs early would improve stability.
"improve stability"? What do you mean?
If I use
:0:
* ^(From|Cc:|To:)(_dot_)*linux-kernel(_at_)vger\(_dot_)kernel\(_dot_)org
$LOGNAME/mailing\ lists/vger.kernel.org/a/b/c/linux-kernel/
and a/b/c doesn't exist, then an incoming EMail matching this
rule becomes inaccessible. It is not lost, but it is stored
somewhere in mbox format. This is surely not correct.
Nested subdirectories (e.g. vger.kernel.org/a/b/c/linux-kernel
as in the example) are not created at all. I would guess this
could be easy to extend?
This works only, if you virtualizer yourenvironment.

Thats a cool idea. I will try.
Many thanx
Harri
