Couldn't agree more. My mail archives only confirm the list has been
coming out of Aachen these last 16 years that I've been on it. And since
we the community of users are on it, it is as official as things get
around here these days, I figure.

right up to the current version, which is definitely "stable", and
probably "mature", but comfortably so.
