Was wondering how the SPF ruleset would affect email from a residential
Cable Modem and/or DSL users who run a Postfix SMTP server on their home
box, but use the "relayhost" setting to the ISPs SMTP outgoing server to
avoid being labeled as "residential" server and blocked from some bigger
sites.

If you're sending out mail with your ISP's domain name, then there is
no issue. The ISP is responsible for setting up the SPF record for
the domain.

If you own the domain, then you'll have to add your ISP's smarthosts
to your SPF record for that domain.
