You can never know that for sure. What prevents a virus/worm author from
writing a virus that forges the sender address if and only if the recipient
address' sum of ASCII characters is even, not odd?
Sure, such a worm could be considered "always forging", but then, all worms
will be forging the sender address some time in the future, and AV software
could never send notifications.
It makes very much sense for AV products to use SPF.
