RE: Registrar supplied DNS support of TXT records?

2004-02-09 15:08:11
[Greg Connor]
My new favorite registrar is "godaddy.com". They are also quite
responsive
to spam complaints (meaning that they will terminate a DNS name
if shown to
be used by spammers) so that just added one more reason for me to want to
support them. However, I don't know if they support adding TXT
records...
hmmm.

I switched to them myself for the same reason. They don't currently offer
the ability to enter TXT records either from their DNS control panel or by
direct request to tech support. I did start a feature request for this
saying that it allowed users to protect their domain names from forgery via
SPF. I would urge you and anyone else who uses GoDaddy to put in similar
requests. As they are basically anti-spam, if they get this request enough,
they may just implement it.

Does anyone on the list know anyone there who might help?
