This accommodates people who want to protect their HELOs and the people
who do not. By default, people are assumed to not want to protect their
HELOs; this position is necessary because of the rfc SHOULD vs MUST syntax.
I think I agree with your suggestion. I thought this could be handled
just like it already is being handled on DSN (no new syntax required),
but my thought didn't cover people that would NOT want this check to
happen.
If you think there might be a reason not to want this, this would be the
way to go. But what would be a reason for a domain owner not wanting to
have the SPF-client to always check the HELO?
