What is in your master.cf?
What in main.cf?
What do you mean with "smtpd_policy_service_endpoint"?
The relevant entries are :
smtpd_policy_service_timeout
smtpd_policy_service_max_ttl
smtpd_policy_service_max_idle
check_policy_service unix:private/policy
Have a look at the SMTPD_POLICY_README in the postfix sample files.
