Announce: spf-event-sink 0.6

2004-04-12 01:03:26
There is a new version of the spf-event-sink for Windows 2000 SMTP svc
available at http://sourceforge.net/projects/spf-event-sink.

The most noteworthy change in this release is the host whitelist. You
can now specify your intermedite host as excluded from checking. Of
course this means you should have them verify spf when they receive the
message.

Version 0.6 contains the following changes (from the changelog):

2004-04-12 0.6.24101.15
- Added check for duplicate SPF records in DNS.
- Fixed handling of multiple substrings in SPF lookup with long strings
that gets broken apart by some DNS servers.
- Fixed error in action handling.
- Fixed handling of incorrect IP-numbers in SPF-strings.
- Fixed a bug in ptr-parsing. It is now a stricter check that the host
really _ends_ with the domain.
- Added IP whitelist.
- Log file name is now time dependant. Use strftime() format characters
in the 'Log file' registry setting.
  %Y Year (4 digits)
  %y Year (2 digits)
  %m Month (2 digits)
  %d Date (2 digits)
  %H Hour (24 hour fomrat)
  %I Hour (12 hour format)
There are more, but the above are the most useful. Time is local time.
The default is "%Y-%m-%d.log".
