Very interesting, thanks.

It might be somewhat interesting to look for common MX records that do
SPF-style stuff predating SPF.  Maybe also check for A records that
point to private/local address spaces.

For MX records, there are a fair number of "dev.null", ".", and
"this.domain.does.not.send.email" (or something like that) entries and
there might be some TXT records to that effect as well.
