I have the converse of this problem. I have clients calling me up
screaming, "Help! it looks like we've been sending viruses!" Thus, my
enthusiasm for SPF.
I think I need to set a specific surcharge for explaining this to them
after, say, the third time. I guess I need a canned response for that.
Somewhat off topic, but I do have a canned response for "Out of Office"
responses I get to things posted to mailing lists. If anyone is

Subject: Broken auto-responder at stupid.site
I received an autoresponse (quoted below) from someone at your site
even
though I never sent them a message directly. In all likelihood the
user
is a member of a mailing list I posted to and is using a broken or
misconfigured autoresponder.
For details about why such an autoresponder is broken, please see
http://www.goldmark.org/netrants/auto-resp/
Please encourage your users either to use list-friendly
autoresponders or
to refrain from using lists.
By the way, more than one person on this list has been earned such a
response.
