RE: The SPF Acronym Confussion

Agreed. Most people (at least in America) are not
in the IT sector. And most IT acronyms are not commonly
known or recognized.
I was only half listening to the radio and heard them
talking about SPF so my ears perked up. (SPF?...on the radio?)
Only to hear they were actually talking about sun-screen.

I was not suggesting a change.
I was not criticizing.
Just pointing out something I found intersting and thought
others might see the humor. Won't happen again.

My point: Just wanted everyone to be aware there is another SPF
that has been on the market for years and is a house hold acronym
recognized by most Moms and all beach go-ers.
SPF = Sun Protection Factor

Maybe in the USA.
From V.E.R.A.:

SPF
     Structured Programming Facility

It would be hard to find an acronym that has not been used already, even
if you limit the scope to the IT sector.
