If SPF is not final solution - What will you see during SPF -> next technology transition?

2004-07-15 20:10:08
There is widespread trend:
"SPF is good enough as for now. We must deploy it ASAP while waiting for
better technology developed and replace SPF"

Okay. I partialy agree with this.
But what will you see during SPF -> next technology transition?

How it will be possible to use new technology while keep compatibility with
already wide-deployed SPF ?

Do you believe new aol.com SPF record will be able to take benefits from
next technology?
"v=spf1 new_ technology ip4:152.163.225.0/24 [....] ptr:mx.aol.com -all"
What about outdated SPF-only MTAs ?

Can somebody describe in details SPF-> NT transition process, it's
limitations and tradeoffs?
For example are "v=spf1 new_ technology +all" records suspect and must be
blocked or nope?
