The MUA they use reads their mailbox before sending.
Which means what? If I use an internet cafe - it certainly does *not* read
my mailbox before sending. My mailbox is on my server, and is only read if
I ask it to be read.
If it is SenderKeys enabled, it will read (I should say "scan") your mailbox
before it sends. If necessary it will prompt for your mailbox details (server,
user, pwd). I assume (but not specified) most MUA will default to only scan
for the SenderKeys private key emails, unless you tell it otherwise.
Agreed. I think whitelisting by each user is the only practical solution
for the moment.
Well - as someone else said already - whitelist the mail-list, not the users
of the mail-list.
Obviously.
You are confusing accuspam and senderkeys. The autoresponder is an accuspam
problem. I am gently hinting that you need to have a mail-list for
senderkeys and build your support there.
Sorry I do not see those as "difficulties" that is why I am not aware of ANY
SenderKeys difficulties, so I figured you must be referring to AccuSpam.
I consider those as "To Do". When did "To Do" become a "difficulty"?
Respectfully, is english your native language? If not, then maybe that is why
we misunderstood each other. That could explain most of the misunderstandings
here, since the Overview I wrote in english.
How truely interested are you in SenderKeys?
We are all interested in anything that will help end-users control their
inboxes.
More inspired to read that! I thought everyone on this list was closed-minded.
If senderkeys can do that, you will find interest, but on your own
mail-list to begin with please. When a lot of the points raised here have
been discussed on your mail-list and clearly explained on your website, then
you might gain a more interested audience.
Sure of course.
Please don't say that you have
explained everything already, because you have only explained it to your own
satisfaction -- not to the satisfaction of others.
Did I say that?
It is others who are proclaiming false "facts" that I am explaining over and
over. Asking a question is different than proclaiming you know all the faults
of SenderKeys, when as you say above and below, you do not even fully
understand it yet.
You have to explain it
in terms which all the sysadmins and tech-savvy users in the world can
understand easily. That is why you need a mail-list - users will ask
questions and you will have to explain in their terms, which explanation can
then be transcribed into your website FAQ's.
FYI, Yahoo's DomainKeys does not have a mailing list that I am aware of:
http://antispam.yahoo.com/domainkeys
Please make your last posting to this list a url for your own mail-list for
senderkeys.
Good suggestion. But not today.
It may be a Forum, but since you've expressed interest given a mail-list, I
will see if I can put someone else on the job next week.
Thanks,
Shelby
