Windows NT from DEC by hiring David Cutler and his gang of
software pirates...
Umm... Microsoft paid Digital millions for the technology and people
used in Windows NT; I don't see how they "stole" anything.
See here:
http://www.winntmag.com/Windows/Article/ArticleID/4652/4652.html
Read it again. Even that heavily Windows-based trade magazine states,
clearly, that Microsoft paid a hefty out-of-court settlement. You don't pay
those to buy a technology, you pay those when you stole it and got caught.
The article then goes into the details of what the VMS underpinnings woven
into NT are.
How can you continue to ignore the part where it was stolen by David Cutler
and the developers he brought with them when Microsoft hired him from DEC?
