Very good - I think many of the rules you formulate are close to being
true in practice already - it's just they're currently latently rather
than explicitly realised.
I particularly agree with the inclusion but separation of #11 and #12
from the others.
If you are the chief architect or developer for your
company, and your company occupies a leadership role in the
internet industry, please contact me and I will invite you
to the skunkworks project.
I'm not in those industries myself, but from my own area, can I
recommend that, if you don't hear from them otherwise, Nexor
(http://www.nexor.co.uk/) may be good people to invite or try and
involved in some way.
They particularly deal with supplying messaging systems and secure
email to certain specialist customers such as NATO, defence
organisations and government bodies such as the UK Cabinet and the
Bank of England.
They may not be interested, or they may have little to contribute due
to the specific nature of their systems, but on the other hand they
might be a good source of different priorities and solutions, and a
good source of credibility for any project.
