I have an issue in the same area, although not one I have resolved, yet.
I am using SPF/SRS and when I tried to subscribe to
users(_at_)spamassassin(_dot_)apache(_dot_)org I got refused because, they use the
Return-Path as the logon ID and they forward to another server without
any Return-Path processing. They completely ignore the From address.
I can't even email the list owner. It just comes back at me.
It's a mess and now the spamassassin.apache.org IP address is in the
SPEWS blocked list. Probably what they deserve.
