Yes, exactly!

OK.  From that perspective it makes sense.  I would also imagine that it
would be optional, but recommended.

I did not, from your original message, understand the purpose of
Processed-By.  I'd recommend that in your draft(s) you be clear about what
it is intended to be useful for and what it's intended to NOT be useful for.
