Hadmut Danisch was interested in MARID (IIRC).  But his
idea was complex, 1st transform SPF resp. XML to a binary
format, then encode it as B64.

many languages don't deal well with binary structures 
(e.g. perl, python, etc.), SPF implementations in those
languages would actually be slightly more complicated.

If REXX (*) can do it, perl can do it, too (the opposite
direction is probably not always true, but irrelevant for
SPF).  But actually the main question would be how easy
it is to add new stuff like accredit=  or whatever SES
needs (op= should be trivial) to a binary format.
