All,
Please forgive my very late response to my nomination as a candidate
for the Council. I am incredibly honoured and flattered, and take
this vote of confidence very seriously.
And it is because I take it so seriously that I must, regretfully,
decline. I do not feel that I have adequate time and bandwidth to do
the position justice, which is the same reason that I did not formally
answer the call for volunteers last month - I cannot in good
conscience take a position with substantial time commitment, as I am
already spread overly-thin, and it would not be fair to the other
Council members and, more importantly, the SPF community.
I will continue to assist in any way that I can, and my email door is
always open (although I can be very slow in responding to any but the
most urgent of messages, for which I apologize).
Thank you again, I'm honoured.
Kind regards,
Anne
