Simple question:
The answer is probably NOT but I wanted to check one of the basic
principles of SPF filters.
Would the SPF filter:
1.
first check the sending mail server against the MX records in the
specified sending domain DNS entry to see whether that mail server is in
the MX records.
2.
then check if an SPF TXT record exists in that domain DNS entry. And if
there is no SPF record, FAIL the email.
Basically, can an SPF filter chech an MX record or does it simply check
the SPF record, and if this does not exist, then let the mail through?
