Well, until Stuart (or somebody else) provides us with more information,
this can hardly be considered empirical.
As I said, I'll do some more experiments. This is just a heads up.
I will telnet to AOL mail servers and try sending messages
with various 2822 From headers. I have already confirmed
that messages with no from at all are rejected. Hang on, I'll
try some other possibilities, and then try adding the v=spf2 record
as required to turn off sender-ID. Also, I would personally consider
the messages spam - but then that is a personal decision :-)
