IIRC you talked about this once in a ouncil telechat, and you
said that Meng could manage any (unexpected) financial assets.

I'd really appreciate it if you don't burden him with tasks
where he MUST fail, like confronting Redmond's IESG liaison,
because right or wrong he can't break his word to both sides.

It's much better if you. Julian, and Mark deal with the proper
appeal procedures and whatever comes next. Discuss it with
the IETF Chair and with Scott. It won't work if you hope that
Meng and Mr. Hardie come to an agreement. They are both bound
to abuse v=spf1 for Redmond, mail losses and other havoc incl.

Meng can do almost anything else in the SPF project, but not
this. Why is this so difficult to understand, and why do you
try it again and again ? It's also useless to discuss it with
Mr. Hardie, you have to discuss it with Brian, Scott, Sam (*1),
Russ (*2), or any other independent IESG member. Bye, Frank

*1: Sam thinks that PRA + v=spf1 doesn't work, but changed his
SID vote to [Abstain] because he didn't want to block it.
Maybe he needs a confirmation that his instinct was correct
*2: Russ had the version 1 vs. 2 problem, but got the idea and
IIRC changed [Discuss] to [No objection].
