[spf-discuss] An Open Letter to SPF Council

2005-09-07 08:20:31
This is an Open Letter to the SPF Council because I find no other way
to communicate with responsible parties.

A visit to www.openspf.org gets what looks like a personal web page
for James Cousens.

A visit www.open-spf.org gets no contact information for The Council
and no list of the members of the council. The closest thing seems to
be a news item "PF Community Council Election" with a broken link!

Whois on openspf.org indicates

        Registrant Organization:Sender Policy Framework Council

so it would appear that such an orginazation exists in connection with
openspf.org.

Whois on open-spf.org seems to be devoid of any mention of "Sender
Policy" while "SPF" appears nowhere except in the domain name.

It would seem that if the Sender Policy Framework Council actually
exists in a meaningful way it would want to be found on the websites
that are registered in its name with visible contact information for
_The Council itself_, and perhaps a list of the members of The Council
and their appointed functionaries. Doing less on websites in domains
with registrations dating from 22 August and 28 July does not seem to
present an appearance conducive to be taken seriously by outsiders.

How would you have an outsider communicate discretely with The
Council? Does The Council or any of its members advertise a PGP key?
