Changing the location the $DEFAULT_EXPLANATION should be an easy fix:
- my $DEFAULT_EXPLANATION = "Please see
http://spf.pobox.com/why.html?sender=%{S}&ip=%{I}&receiver=%{xR}";
+ my $DEFAULT_EXPLANATION = "Please see
http://www.openspf.org/why.html?sender=%{S}&ip=%{I}&receiver=%{xR}";
Excellent suggestion, thanks. (Of course it won't help us with the
thousands of old installations of M:S:Q out there that still use "spf.
pobox.com", though.)
In my opinion the CallerID code is obsolete, so this could be removed
from the code.
No, I think this is a legacy feature that needs to stay in M:S:Q forever so
as not to break existing installations that are going to be upgraded.
There are tons of things that we would like to change, add, or remove in
M:S:Q, but most of that can't be done without risking breaking existing
installations.
Put your hope in Mail::SPF instead. :-)
