Hi,
nameserver 192.168.200.1
nameserver 192.168.200.2
nameserver 192.168.200.246
I hope that this make a round robin on the DNS queries required by
de spf process, i dont know if this happens but im optimist.
I guess you have to specify
options rotate
in order to actually make them round-robin.
The incoming mail takes 10 seconds more to get into the server (due
to the limit on the number of listening smptd daemons) and the cpu
usage statistics now show some spikes of 60% iowait, but most of the
time it remains on 10%.
Are you sure the iowait is due to the DNS-queries?
Did you check with iostat that the system is not having trouble with
the postfix queue directory (keyword: sync-bit set)?
There is an excellent performance analysis document here:
http://www.postfix.org/QSHAPE_README.html
http://www.postfix.org/TUNING_README.html
Regards.
Jean-Pierre
