I now invite nominated candidates listed above to send me an email
(either directly or by replying to this email so it also goes to
the mail list) if you are interested and available to serve on the
2007 SPF council.

I am honoured to have been nominated. I have to decline however. My
reason is a simple, old-fashioned lack of time. As some of you may
know, I am very active in local and national politics. I am the
treasurer of our local chapter of GroenLinks ('GreenLeft', a Dutch
political party), active in the environmental workgroup of that same
chapter and president of the national workgroup open source software.

I had a lot of other duties both for the party as well as for other
organisations in the Netherlands. I'm also running a company with a
handful of employees, have a relationship and should be working on
my masters thesis. I can therefore at this point not take on the
extra responsibility of sitting in the SPF council, how much i would
like to take up the opportunity though. I will not be able to devote
the time necessary to do a good job of it.

Of course, I will still be hosting and maintaining the SPF ticket
system as best as I can.

Best,

Koen
