That was my key solution.
Whilst within an h3 element (in the stylesheet), I have to
identify this node somehow. I did it by copying the element
content (yuk), passing it to a named template, which then
used document()// [] to match 'this' node.
Really long and messy, also error prone.
 My way is tedious but simple.

the basic idea is the same, to use generate-id()to make links you have
to make sure your stylesheet current node is the same (the target)
both when you put the id at the target and when you refer to the id
when making the link.
