the document structure is as posted previously
although your post didn't really have enough information to deduce the
structure (no namespoace declarations for example) as stated all teh
time on this list posting complete small documents and complete
stylesheet fragments makes life much easier.
The template it is in currently matches the root "/" - could that be the
reason why it works? The root node is not a (direct) parent to either,
though.
Then neither of those apply-templates is producing any output.
remove them and you will get the same result.
