RE: Apply-templates - how to omit top level element tags?

Actually, I needed both. Guide/Name, Vendor/Name, Product/Name, etc.,
and each of those names can and will be used in numerous contexts.

Won't work for me because, in other contexts, I want "Guide/Name" to 
output something different, such as being surrounded by "<title>" tags

ah you'd said earlier that you wanted Name  processed differently
elsewhere which is why I used Guide/Name (making a more specific match,
to save using modes) if you need to generate title and h1 from the same
input mode then I fair enough.
