Susan --
First of all - Welcome to XSL-List! Don't apologize for being a
"newbie" here, just ask your questions. We all started as beginners,
and we are all stumped from time to time. It's OK.
Second - your posting should have appeared in the next digest sent
after you posted it. I don't know what happened to your first
posting; it seems to have vanished. If it contains a more detailed
description of your question please re-post it. Be sure to send it
to the correct address (xsl-list(_at_)lists(_dot_)mulberrytech(_dot_)com) and to
follow the rest of the list guidelines
(http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list).
You will improve the chances that you will receive prompt and helpful
responses by:
- asking specific enough questions that answers are possible. Describe
what you are trying to do, how you approached it, what happened, and
why you don't like the result you got
- supplying small samples of files that illustrate your question or
problem. For example, an XML file, an XSLT stylesheet, the result
you got, and the result you want - all in miniature (and remembering
that everything posted to XSL-List is archived in public)
- describing the topic of your question concisely in the subject line
Good subject lines - those that describe the subject matter of your
message - not only increase the chances that you will receive answers
to questions or responses to comments, they also make your message
and any replies to it accessible in the list archives.
Third - if you have questions about the mechanics or logistics of
XSL-List please send them to me at
<xsl-list-owner(_at_)lists(_dot_)mulberrytech(_dot_)com>.

Dear Listers,
I am SO new here - please be patient with me. I tried to post a message
to the list the other day (with same title as this subject header), but
I have not seen it turn up in three days of Digests.
Is this typical?
Crux of my original message is as follows:
"What I want to do is select two Food_Type_Ids, and, using XSLT 1.0,
spit out a distinct list of Food_Ids that belong to the two
Food_Type_Ids [since Food_Ids can repeat for different Food_Ids]."
Please let me know if I need to repost ... or just be patient and wait.
Thank you,
Susan (such-a-newbie!!)
