sometime is better to perform xslt transformation in xquery - eXist
have such function and it performed by Saxon engine - very useful for
web applications

What do you mean by "easily integrated with Saxon"? Note you can
directly request eXist from within an XSLT stylesheet or an XQuery
module with an HTTP extension for Saxon. Examples there:
